Launching Larch Lab: a climate-focused architecture and urbanism ‘think and do’ tank

Had been waiting on a few things to *officially* announce this.

But… post-pandemic, a year of alarming climate events, and seeing the lack of urgency around climate action and the built environment in the US…

We started a thing.

World, meet Larch Lab.

We’re part architecture + urbanism studio/part ‘think and do’ tank, founded by Michael Eliason.

We’ll be engaging in design, research, policy, and activism – working at the intersection of the climate and housing crises.

Our aim is to bridge Europe and the U.S. on mass timber, passivhaus, and ecodistricts.

We’ve got a number of irons in the fire.

We’re working on a few reports on innovative housing models for a few jurisdictions.

Several recent interviews on the differences in construction and urban planning in the U.S. v. EU…

Some baugruppe and community oriented housing stuff coming up…

So… If you are interested in collaborating on climate adaptive architecture…

In discussing the above themes…

In engaging us to talk or write about the things we need to be moving faster on in order to meet our climate goals – please do get in touch!
